Ethics in the sauna before and during the ritual

The sauna experience requires adherence to a code of ethics that prioritizes health. It begins with mutual respect and agreement between the Client and the Sauna Master regarding the intended sauna procedures. The Client should be open about their health and mental state to tailor a pleasant and health-promoting sauna ritual. All discussions in the sauna shared between the sauna master and the Client are governed by the principle of confidentiality. Please familiarize yourself with the ethics code in advance and consider it on the day of your sauna visit:

  1. The Client must ensure good health before entering the sauna. If uncertain about one's health status, it's advisable to consult a doctor before attending the sauna ritual.

  2. The sauna should not be visited under the influence of intoxicating substances.

  3. It's the Client's responsibility to evaluate their health condition and other circumstances, adjusting the duration of their stay in the sauna according to those factors during the ritual.

  4. Participating in the sauna ritual led by the sauna master, the Client must follow the sauna master's reasonable instructions concerning the safety of the Client's life and health.

  5. During the visit, the Client should communicate openly with the sauna master and report any changes in sensations, desire to step outside for fresh air, or any discomfort.

  6. The Client should consciously avoid touching the sauna heating appliance, stove, fireplace in the relaxation room, fireplace, and chimney outdoors.

  7. Note that the floor in the sauna, shower area, and relaxation room may be wet and slippery, so it's important to move cautiously.

  8. Before using the shower, ensure that the water temperature is not too hot or too cold when turning on the tap.

  9. Only clean indoor footwear should be worn in the sauna areas. Outdoor footwear should be left at the entrance door.

  10. If children are brought along, they should only be present in the sauna areas when accompanied by at least one of the child's parents or an adult responsible for them. The sauna facility is not tailored to be child-friendly, and the sauna master is not responsible for the safety of accompanying children.
